Materials You Will Need:
- Measuring tape.
- Pipe detector (if required).
- Stud finder (if required). To hang a shower door off a wall, the hinges will need to be screwed through the tiles and villa board into a timber stud.
Steps On How To Measure A Frameless Glass Shower
Step 1: Outline with masking tape where you want the shower panels to be positioned on the floor and wall. Please note all fixed/hinged panels are 2000mm high.
Step 2: Measure the overall opening width dimensions across the floor to the millimetre. (Please note: If you are measuring for an inline shower screen, also measure the width at mid- height and at 2000mm high and see if all measurements are the same. Not always, but may reveal if your walls are out of plumb).
Step 3: Check if your floor is level, using a level. If the floor is not level, seek independent installation advice.
Step 4: Check if your wall is plumb, using a level. If your wall is more that 5mm out of plumb, we recommend standard panels may not be appropriate as the wall brackets may not meet the bracket holes in glass properly.
Step 5: Check that there are no pipes behind the tiles where you want to screw the brackets to the wall. (All fixed/hinged panels have bracket holes pre-cut 200mm up from the base of the panel and 1800 up from the base of the panel.
HOW TO WORK OUT MY ACTUAL PANEL SIZES:
Step 1: Sketch elevation of your shower screen
Step 2: Work out your door width (if required). Doors are available at 600mm, 610mm, 620mm, 630mm, 640mm and 650mm.
Step 3: Now for required gaps between panels/wall:
- – For shower screen consisting of just 1 panel: 3mm wall gap
- – For Inline shower screens consisting of 2 panels: 9mm (3mm gaps on either side of door, 3mm gap between wall and fixed/hinge panel
- – For inline shower screens consisting of 3 panels: 12mm (3mm gaps on either side of door, 3mm gap between wall and hinge panel + 3mm gap between wall and fixed panel
- – For Square shower screens consisting of 3 panels (Hinge panel + Door + Return Panel):
Across front: 19mm (includes 10mm thickness of return panel glass)
Return panel: 3mm
Step 4: From your overall opening width, deduct door width and required gaps for you screen.
This will give you the fixed/hinge panel width required to fit within your space.
– With Square screens, repeat the process to work out your return panel width.
Square Screen Example: Overall opening dimensions of 1059mm across the front. 963mm returning to back wall
Across the Front, and using a 600mm wide door: 1059mm – 600mm door – 19mm total gaps = 440mm hinge panel
Return Panel width: 963mm – 3mm wall gap = 960mm return panel

How To Install A Fixed Glass Frameless Glass Shower Screen

- Sanitary Grade Neutral Cure Silicone and silicone gun
- 3mm Packers (setting blocks)
- Drill and drill bit (porcelain or diamond depending on your tile type) to drill through tile.

- Stud finder
(if required)
- Green Wall plugs
- Plastic Mallet

Check For Pipes & Stud
Step 1: Use a pipe detector to check for any pipes that may be sitting behind the wall. This is to prevent drilling into a pipe when fixing the brackets onto the wall.
Check The Wall & Floor Is Plum
Step 2: Using a level make sure the wall is plumb and the floor is level.
CLEAN
Step 3: Clean shower space thoroughly . Area must be dry and free from dirt
Put Brackets On Glass Shower Screen
Panel
Step 4: Install the brackets onto the glass but do not fully tighten them. Just enough so that they stay on yet still adjustable. Allen screws should be facing inside the shower so that they are hidden from the outside view. The reason the brackets need to be installed first is because they need to be used to mark out proper holes for drilling.
SET OUT YOUR 3mm PACKERS
Step 5: Where the panel is to sit, place a 3mm packer on the floor 100mm away from the wall. Place another 3mm packer approx. 100mm from where the glass panel is to end.
Position The Fixed Glass Shower Screen Into Place
Step 6: Place the glass shower panel into position making sure that the glass is on the packers so not to shatter the glass. It is advisable to have a friend to help you lift the glass into position. With a 3mm packer buffering the glass edge against the wall, place the level against the glass to make sure it is perfectly level and plumb. With a pencil/marker, mark through the bracket holes on the tile to indicate your drill hole positions. Carefully remove the glass panel and place it aside onto a soft/non-slip surface.
Drill holes in tiles
Step 7: Drill holes where you marked tiles. You may need a porcelain or diamond drill bit depending on your tiles. (Please note: Manly tiles are quite hard and may take time to drill through. Have a water source/spray bottle handy to cool the drill bit down). Remove any dust from drilling.
INSERT WALL PLUGS
Step 8: Using a plastic mallet, tap your wall plugs into your drilled holes. If necessary cut the excess off your wall plugs with a stanley knife so that they are flush with wall
SILICONE OVER HOLES TO WATERPROOF
Step 9: Cover the drill hole and wall plug with neutral cure sanitary grade silicone to waterproof
Position Your Fixed Glass Shower Screen Into Place
Step 10: Carefully lift your glass panel back into position making sure that the glass is resting again on your plastic 3mm packers and your drill holes are inline with your bracket. Insert two 3mm packers between the wall and glass panel to create a 3mm gap up the wall. (Double check glass is plumb and level).
Securing panel To The Wall
Step 11: Insert and tighten screws into the bracket fixing plate, securing the panel to the wall.
STRAIGHTEN AND TIGHTEN BRACKET COVER PLATES
Step 12: Make sure outside cover plates of bracket are straight, then tighten with the provided allen key on the inside face of bracket.
TRIM 3mm PACKERS
Step 13: If 3mm packer protruding out from under glass, cut the excess off with a stanley knife. Remove 3mm packer from wall. (Never have glass sitting directly on floor or hard against tiled wall).
Silicone Into Position
Step 14: Pump Silicone between glass panel and wall/floor from both sides of shower panel.
REMOVE EXCESS SILICONE
Step 15: Spray silicone with soapy water and run wet silicone spatula down the wall, keeping it square with the glass panel and wall. Remove excess silicone onto an old rag as you go. Do this on both sides creating a smooth and even silicone joint.
CURING TIME: 48hrs
Step 16: Let the silicone cure for 48 hours before using shower.
